Agile Hamilton: Thrive on Change – Hamilton – 25 July 2019

What

ABOUT THE TALK:
Change management is about paying specific attention to, valuing, and actively addressing the people side of the change. This includes understanding the change, what’s driving it, who’s involved, who’s impacted and how, and the “what’s in it for me” (WIIFM) for different stakeholders.

In this lunchtime talk, Zhi Lee will share his journey about how he learnt the importance of change management, and provide some examples of how you could adopt a change led approach, to make people feel supported and awesome. Katherine Rive will share key success factors for realising and embedding true change, and her experiences ‘at the coal-face’ of change.

INTRODUCING OUR AWESOME PRESENTERS:

Zhi Lee is the founder of Teamworx, a group of coaches who approach change from 3 perspectives – Ways of Working, Product Agility, and Change Management. He is an Enterprise Agile Coach with Delivery management experience having previously built up the Development team at Bauer Media, and looking after the Delivery Team at Trade Me Property. Zhi’s most recent role was Scrum Master Chapter Lead at Mercury Energy. Zhi has worked with clients across the digital, logistics, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, energy, agriculture, and retail industries.

As a change consultant with Teamworx, Katherine Rive applies a change lens to support teams bringing about fundamental changes to the way they work. Katherine has worked on a range of change initiatives from system implementations to strategic business transformation programmes involving policy, governance, service delivery, process, role and technology change. Katherine previously held the role of Change Portfolio Manager at the University of Auckland, and has since worked with clients across the health, utilities and insurance sectors.

Koordinates 2019 Roadshow – Hamilton – 5 March 2019

What

Koordinates is going on the road! We’re travelling Aotearoa New Zealand to host events, meet data users, and demo-ing the Koordinates platform

This year, our theme is ‘The Next Ten Years of Geospatial Data,’ with a special focus on better open data, smoother data supply chains, and simpler data collaboration.

This theme dovetails with some of the work we’re doing here at Koordinates. Our platform is already a key resource for Aotearoa New Zealand’s data users. Our customers include some of the most successful data projects in the world, including the LINZ Data Service and the InternetNZ Broadband Map.

Now, we’re expanding our product to solve some of the most intractable problems in geospatial data management, distribution, and collaboration.

Come along for a lively discussion, detailed demonstration, and quick Q&A with the Koordinates team—and stick around afterwards for drinks and nibbles.

Board Games by the Bay – Hamilton 23 -24 February 2019

What

Board Games By The Bay (BGBTB) is a series of epic tabletop gaming events run each year in New Zealand. Since 2011, these weekend events have brought together the community to learn and play modern board, card and dice games in a friendly, social environment.

These events bring together enthusiasts and players new to the scene in a relaxed, fun environment.  Participants enjoy catching up with old friends and making new ones, trying out different games or relaxing with familiar ones, and entering the free competitions. Numbers are growing with each event, and we’re expecting to fill our venues to the brim in 2018.  It’s always great to see so many old friends and newcomers, experienced gamers and families showing up, and we’re looking forward to seeing YOU this time around.

There will be a library stocked with all kinds of games for you to try, and many people bring their own games and invite others to join them.  You are most welcome to bring your own games along.  We have a team of great volunteers (our friendly RedShirts) who are experts at teaching a wide variety of games to new players.
